Kochanet, LLC ("Kochanet", "we", "us", "our") is a software development company registered in Delaware, United States, at 651 N Broad St, Suite 201, Middletown, DE 19709, with a development team in Serbia.

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website, contact us, respond to our advertising, or work with us, and what we do with it. For data protection purposes, Kochanet, LLC is the controller of that information.

Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, company name, job role, and anything else you share when you fill in a form on our website, submit a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, message us on WhatsApp or Messenger, book a call, or send us an email.

Information about your project. Notes, documents, and requirements you share while we scope or build your software.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website we collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies. See section 6.

Information from other platforms. When you contact us through Fiverr, Upwork, Clutch, or a similar platform, we receive the details you shared there.

Client data we handle on behalf of others. While building or maintaining software for a client, we may have access to data belonging to that client's own users. In those cases the client decides how that data is used, we act on their instructions, and the terms are set in our agreement with them.

We use your information to:

• Reply to your enquiry and send you a proposal (to take steps at your request before entering a contract)
• Deliver the services we agreed and support you after launch (to perform our contract with you)
• Send you information about our services where you asked for it or where you are an existing business contact (consent, or our legitimate interest in promoting our business)
• Measure and improve our website and advertising (consent for cookies where required, and our legitimate interest in running the business)
• Keep records, issue invoices, and meet tax, accounting, and other legal duties (legal obligation)

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We share it with service providers who help us operate, and only as far as they need it. These include hosting and cloud infrastructure providers, email and communication tools, scheduling and CRM tools, analytics and advertising platforms, and accounting or legal advisers. Each one is bound to protect the information and to use it only for the service they provide to us.

We may also share information when the law requires it, when we need to establish or defend a legal claim, or if our business is sold or merged, in which case the buyer would be bound by this policy.

We operate from the United States and Serbia, and some of our providers are based elsewhere, so your information may be transferred outside the country where you live, including outside the European Economic Area. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on approved safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for it to work, plus optional ones that help us understand how the site is used and measure our advertising.

We use the Meta pixel and similar tools from advertising platforms. These let us see which ads bring people to our site and show relevant ads to people who visited it. They involve sharing limited technical information with those platforms, which act as separate controllers of that data under their own policies.

Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting optional cookies, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time through the cookie settings on our site. You can also control ad personalisation in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings, and block cookies in your browser.

We keep enquiry and marketing contact details for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. We keep client records and project material for the length of the engagement and for as long as we may need them for legal, tax, or warranty reasons, which is usually up to 7 years. After that we delete or anonymise the information.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls, encryption in transit, restricted internal access, and confidentiality agreements with our team and subcontractors. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, and we ask you to send us sensitive material only through the channels we agree with you.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy
• Have inaccurate information corrected
• Ask us to delete your information
• Ask us to limit how we use it
• Object to us using it, including for direct marketing
• Receive your information in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time, where we relied on consent

To use any of these rights, email us at info@kochanet.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or the UK and you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in each email.

Our services are aimed at businesses and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If the change is significant, we will make that clear on this page.
