LABA7 builds precision testing equipment for motorsport. Their wireless corner weight scales needed a phone app that connects to every scale and shows the readings in real time. We built it in Flutter, with native Swift and Kotlin where Bluetooth needed it.
LABA7, based in Vilnius, Lithuania, designs and manufactures testing equipment for vehicle dynamics: shock dynos, spring testers, suspension tools and wireless corner weight scales used by motorsport teams.
Corner weights tell a team how a car’s weight is spread across its four wheels, which shapes how it handles. The scales are wireless, so the readings needed to land on a phone, instantly, wherever the car is set up.
Four scales, one phone, live data. The app has to find and connect to every scale over Bluetooth Low Energy and keep all four connections steady while the readings stream in.
Bluetooth is where cross-platform apps usually struggle. iOS and Android handle it very differently, and in a garage or at a race, a dropped connection means a wrong setup.
The app connects to the scales and shows each corner’s weight in real time, so the team sees the effect of every adjustment as they make it.
A BLE connection layer that discovers the scales, holds the connections and reconnects automatically if one drops.
Flutter for the app itself, with native Swift on iOS and native Kotlin on Android for the Bluetooth parts, so each platform talks to the hardware the way it works best.
A single Flutter codebase for both platforms, so every mechanic and engineer can use the phone they already carry.
LABA7’s customers can now connect to their corner weight scales from a phone and read every corner live, on iOS or Android.
It is a focused app that does one job well: get accurate data from the hardware to the people setting up the car, the moment they need it.
If you make hardware, the app is often how your customers judge it. We build mobile apps that talk to devices reliably, going native wherever Bluetooth or other hardware needs it.
